KPMG 360° Apprenticeship Programmes

Yesterday, one of my former students started his 360° School Leaver Programme at KPMG. A Higher Apprenticeship, this rotational programme allows successful applicants the opportunity to experience different areas of the business before choosing the area they want to specialise in. Most of the major professional services companies now offer programmes of this type, and for students who are clear about their career goal it's a great route to employment, and a great alternative to university. With no uni fees to worry about and the cost of professional studies usually covered by the firm, it's definitely a route to consider. But make no mistake, these programmes shouldn't be viewed as second best to university, they just represent a different route and entry criteria for selection is just as rigorous as for a uni course.
